The workshop on ​“Innovative Product Development using Surface Embellishments and its Promotion” was held on 19 September 2022, in Fashion Design Laboratory, Ramaiah Technology Campus RUAS. The program is organized by the Dept. of Fashion Design, FAD for B. Des and M. Des Fashion Designing students. The workshop mainly focused on materials, methods, product analysis, product development, and its promotion using surface embellishment techniques. Surface embellished products have developed a great niche in the fashion market. The resource person Ms. Rashmi Cadambi is a Fashionpreneur, who comes with a diverse experience across various fields of Fashion, Academics, and business development, have shared her experience in developing and marketing products to passionate customers. She demonstrated Kutch embroidery, Kasuthi embroidery, and patchwork, which is an integral part of her firm SewNami. Students gained a lot of exposure to new product development and promotional ideas from this workshop.
