Overview

The Faculty of Art and Design (FAD) was set up in 2003 as the Department of Design. Initially affiliated to Coventry University, the Faculty was integrated into the Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences in 2014.

FAD is envisioned as an inclusive space that brings together creative individuals in the pursuit of a common goal: to tap into the power of art and design to create a better tomorrow.

The carefully-chosen faculty come with years of experience, industry expertise, and a strong belief in the innate talent of every student. They work closely with students, offering them one-on-one attention and guidance, to train them in the technical as well as practical aspects of design. Their approach to education creates a safe space for students to discover their voice as artists and designers.

The teaching and industry-centric curriculum is complemented with well-planned studios and labs. In addition to ensuring hands-on learning, these facilities are also designed to gently nudge students into becoming the artists and designers of tomorrow.

Today, the Faculty offers 2 UG and 2 PG programs and is the proud alma mater of 378 professional designers.
