Celebration of Raksha Bandhan, an exhibition cum Sale program was organised by students and staff of the fashion design department, FAD on 22 August 2023 in Ramaiah Technology Campus, Ramaiah University of Applied Science, Bangalore. During this event, students exhibited varieties of Raksha-Bandhan made by using fancy yarns, fabrics, etc. The window display done based on the theme ​“Vara Mahalakshmi Festival” on male and female mannequins added glamor to the program. Students and staff from various departments of Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry visited the exhibition. During the program, B. Des Fashion Design students tied the Raksha Bandhan to students of summer school in Bavarian, Germany, who have visited the university. Bavarian, German students also visited the Textile Testing, Garment Manufacturing lab, and Design studio. Dr Mamatha G Hegde, Assoc. Prof. and Head, Dept. of Fashion Design conducted a lecture on the topic ​“Eco-dyeing, Sustainability in Textile and Apparel Industries” for 10 summer school students.
