The award declaration ceremony of International Fashion Hackathon 2022- ​‘Intuitive Fashion Designing for Current Problems and Needs” was held on 16 November 2022, in Ramaiah Technology Campus, RUAS. 

The award declaration event started with Invocation song followed by Ramaiah Anthem. Dr Mamatha G Hegde, Assoc. Prof and Head, Dept. of Fashion Design welcomed all participants. During welcome Dr Hegde briefed that ​“the event was organized by the department of fashion design, FAD. The registration process for this event started on 17 October 2022 and closed on 10 November 2022. All the registrations received were scrutinized and the best ones were called for presentation on 14 November 2022. The Presentations were judged by expert Jury Members Prof. Bystrova Tatyana Yuryevna, Professor, Ekaterinburg Academy of Contemporary Art (EACA), Ural Federal University, Russia, Dr. Engr. Ayub Nabi Khan, Pro Vice Chancellor of BGMEA University of Fashion & Technology, Bangladesh and Ms. Keerthi Jeethuri, Founder House of Ikari, Hyderbad, India”. 

The chief guest of the event Dr. Dilip Kumar Mahanty, Dean, RTC, RUAS, highlighted on importance of conducting International Hackathon event with 3 main themes as Protective Clothing, Voluminous Clothing and Virtual Designing. Chief Guest also said organisation of Hackathon on title ​“Intuitive Fashion Designing for Current Problems and Needs” will help the students to Visualize, ideate and develop an innovative research design related to textiles, apparels and fashion. Dr. Mahanty addressed on the importance of showcasing the apparels, haut couture designs and folios as per the theme. He said ​“Hackathon helps to recognise the talents in the fashion designing sector, promote the designs, analyse the industry trends and market dynamism related to textiles, apparel and fashion”. ​“Lot of global professional networking and sharing of ideas will happen through these type of Hackathon” as pointed by Chief Guest of the event. Ms Smitha and Mr Goutham N declared the award details, Ms. Nagaveni K. did the master of ceremony and Ms. Aslesha Bhargava delivered the vote of thanks.
