Department of Fashion Design, Faculty of Art and Design organised International Fashion Hackathon 2022 on Intuitive Fashion Designing for Current Problems and Needs

Introduction:

“Fashion Designing is about making comfortable apparels as per the needs”. Exploration of new fashion and practice needs entirely new outlook and it is intuitive based on one’s imagination. Trusting the vision and making it into actual
needs lot of mentorship. Organisation Hackathon based on a particular theme with expert Jury members helps the fashion designer to concretise the idea of intuition, so that the idea can be converted into reality in later period. This International Hackathon will help in network building amongst the designs professionals, overall understanding and learning of technological aspects, integration of theory and practical application skills to meet the needs of related industry and society in larger perceptive.

Objectives:

• To Visualize, ideate and develop an innovative research design related to textiles, apparels and fashion
• To showcase the apparels, haut couture designs and folios as per theme
• To recognise the talents in the fashion designing sector and promote the designs
• To analyse the industry trends and market dynamism related to textiles, apparel and fashion based on the theme
• To build global professional networking and sharing of ideas
