Dr Mamatha Hegde, Head, Department of Fashion Design, Faculty of Art and Design, Participated as a Mentor and Jury member in the International online Event ​“HACKATHON” Post Industrial Design, December 2021 organized by Ural Federal University, Russia. Teams composing of designers, programmers, and artists, from Russia, Turkey, Mangolia and Armenia participated in the Competitions and 22 teams reached the final round of presentation held on 17^th Dec 2021. All the teams had come out with unique innovative ideas and concepts for the creation of products focused on 3 main themes i.e.; Designing a playground slide (for ​”Novokoltovsky” Housing Estate, Yekaterinburg), Designing original high-tech lamps and Visualizing city event ​“Yekaterinburg 300“. The teams’ final projects were evaluated according to Idea creativity, Compliance with the terms of reference, Completeness of the materials provided, Rendering quality and Project presentation. The Prizes were announced during the summing up event held on 22 December 2021.
